4:56AM - awe man, its awesome :)

Just got up to get some water, man, i love water.
I looked out the window and had to do a double take, there was snow on the floor.
Its 3:47 in the morning. The street lamp to the left of the kitchen window is on as are the other street lamps.
I looked at the light to see little flurries of snow falling down.
I dont know dude, but its moments like that. Small things like that that make me instantly happier.
I mean things arent perfect, but even just saying that now makes me feel better because simply said, perfect to me is very different from perfect to others. Many places in the world perfect is what i have now. A heated home, a bedroom, water, warmth, health, legs and arms, the ability to come online and write this. Stoke is a great thing. The ability to love is a great thing. I love snow, and look what thats done for me. I hope i never become the person who doesnt stop and smell the rain before it even reaches my head. I dont think im capable of being that way, and im glad. I sure hope it keeps snowing.

Im getting ready to start waking up early and sleeping early, and doing my yoga or tai chi mornings and nights. Im gonna take a day or two now until i recieve my dvd so i can grab a beer beforehand.

This is a great song...

11:15PM - haha, oh me

Im not funny...

lol

But i happen to find my jokes soooo laugh worthy.

My mom asked me to read an email from her realtor or something. I read it to her, it was short, and at some point said something about needing something by 12 pm noon. So she asks, is that it, is that all it said? I say...well they want you to take a monkey too at 3pm. She says, no, you mean 12 pm, thats what the email said. I say, yeah, they need you to show up with a monkey at 12 pm. She looks at the email trying to figure out where it says that and then asks me "where is that written".

See. didnt make sense at all did it?
lol

Now i can try explaining it, which makes it even more obvious the joke isnt funny, or i can walk away mysteriously pretending the above is totally funny.

Yeahhh, all i will say is my mom is a mix of not fluent in english + a complete overthinker when it comes to business stuff. And that equals someone who believes she needs to bring a monkey to her realtor.      : D

10:42PM - Galaxy by Stuart Clark - Request for Opinions

Wondering about Galaxy by Stuart Clark, Quercus Publishing PLC, 2009.

I saw select pages from it included in a book on designing diagrams for books and websites, if you can believe it. I'm curious as to whether anyone here has read it and what their reaction is. I've been looking for a good update on the work that Henbest and Couper did with Guide to the Galaxy since they haven't been hired to revise it themselves yet.

6:32PM - A recipe

Day 21: A recipe

Here's one I made up recently. I call it "Reno's Tasty Salsa." (Reno is a nickname.)

Ingredients:

Muir Glen Organic Adobo Seasoned Fire Roasted Petite Diced Tomatoes (or diced tomatoes of your choice, but it's really good with these)
1-2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 TBSP red chili powder
1 TBSP dried Christmas (red and green) salsa mix
A few shakes of garlic powder

Stir ingredients together in saucepan. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes, or until heated. Let cool down, and then refrigerate. Serve with corn chips and refrigerate unused portion. Expect moderate spice factor.

8:38AM - Its a beautiful morning...

and the sun is just starting its rise...and oh yeah, my hairs just below my ears :D

Yep. Thats right. My now curly mess of hair is cut about collar bone length on the front and ear length on the back! And!...i did it myself!..With no precision at all!!!! *dumb super happy face*

haha. yeah. so thats that. I really like it. I love my curls and i think they look better at around this length. I need to shower so i can get my hair as close to straight as possible to give me a means of fixing the layers since i just grabbed a handful at a guesstimate and snipped it off. Oh and...haha....one other thing.... : D

I may have kind of sorta, kind of sort of tried making bangs earlier last night...keep in mind i said "tried" lol. Im coming under the suspicion that curly herred folk dont get bangs, and starting to realize why its mostly an emo boy trend :p
BUT!! Its all good and it still looks pretty fricktastic. And i can make it into a mini, tiny mohawk...or more like speedbump looking thing, but still, still awesome! Actually, i have a faux hawk right now! My hair is so curly and wild at the moment that i am able to position a bunch of it as a loose, messy hawk. I'd show you but, my camera is super duper slow, or rather, my current photo program thingy is.

written at 7 something am, posted at 8:30 because i have a low attention span :D

1:14AM

Hi, everyone. I come bearing photos from a road trip I took in late August to Telluride, CO. I love winter, but I miss that nice weather right now, and I thought maybe those of you in more northern climes might enjoy the break from snow and cold as well! Apologies in advance for the blurrier and specklier images — I shot a lot of them from a moving car.

lots of big photos -- think twice if you're on a slow connection. )

I also did a tiny panoramic series from the top of the mountain there.
